Every month I write a new document called “Life Recalibration”, where I write down my current life goals and plans, see how things change over time, and adjust if needed as priorities and values shift.

This is a very condensed version of the latest few, to reaffirm it in my own mind, and act as a bit of a marker in time.

My eventual goal for work is to be working full-time on four projects; DrawKit, Milestones, painting, and guitar. Check out “What I’m Doing Now” for more details on these.

What I’m doing now
Here’s a quick post to update on current projects, work, priorities, and everything in between. Day job: Relevance AI I joined the design team at Relevance AI a few months ago and have been loving the role so far. The company is full of such talented people, everyone’s

I’m aiming to have a small private studio space in a co-working space like The Commons – I love the combination of community, creativity, and business in places like these. I’d set this up to be a mix of painting studio, music studio, general workspace, and maybe a small social space if I’m lucky.

For home, a cosy, warm family home, most likely on Sydney’s beaches. My family’s here, and the city is a fantastic mix of nature and culture and work. I have an overly-ambitious dream of a luxury cabin-style home, a little bit loft, a little bit forest cabin.

However, I’ve rarely felt more alive than when slow-travelling, spending a few months in different cities around the world, and working from cafes. So I’d want to add that in too. I’m very inspired by people like Werner Bronkhorst and Charli Te Puia, or Jason Paul and Emily Ibarra, or Felix and Marzia, and others, the way they combine their family life with adventure and exploration, start and run businesses and projects as a couple, whether that’s moving across the world, exhibiting their art and photography in far-flung cities, or just exploring together. So yes, a few months each year exploring, whether solo or with my future family.

Between these – a home for half the year in Sydney, a workspace in the city, and exploring other cities and adventuring for another few months, all while working on fulfilling projects – I can’t think of a better combination of elements to live a full life, as well as giving adventure combined with stability to any future family I’d be lucky enough to have.

I’m sure this will change and adjust as time goes on though, it always has.
